So these ribs are unbelievable. And I don’t even like ribs. So get ready.
1 rack of good ribs, 1 sweet onion, 1 jar of your favorite BBQ sauce, salt and pepper and garlic powder AND your good old crock pot!
Cut the rack in half and broil in the oven at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes (mostly just to cook some of the fat off).
While the ribs are broiling, slice the sweet onion into rings, and place rings at the bottom of the crock pot.
Cut the broiled racks into smaller pieces, with a few ribs in each hunk. Put those hunks on top of the onion.
Dump the entire bottle of BBQ sauce over the ribs, and sprinkle with salt, pepper and a bit of garlic powder.
Put the lid on that sucker and cook on high for 6 hours or low for 8 hours.
OMG These are so good that the trophy husband said that they were the best thing that I have ever cooked. And I agreed – and I never eat/order/request/make ribs. EVER! Until I got this recipe from my trusty co-worker, that is.
And YES, that is a camouflage crock pot.
