A few months back, my mom went to help my grandma move out of her old farm house. She had been living there for over 50 years, but at 90, she decided it was time to live in town full time, so they emptied her place, and as a result, I was able to get these treasures. First of all, the dish is beautiful. I am a sucker for anything white, and the gold adds that glam factor. But I also got a fair amount of my grandmas jewelry which I am dying to wear! I hope you love it as much as I do!
December is slowly approaching and the white stuff has already made its presence known in my town. We have already had about a week of snow straight and temperatures as low as -26 degrees Celsius. Naturally, this leads me to one of my addictions – outerwear. And my absolute favorite outerwear is Mackage, which on top of creating amazing pieces, is a Canadian company. I was browsing on the website earlier and fell in love with a few lovely pieces.
Cassandra is my absolute favourite (thats why you got the front AND back of her), but I am really loving Ginette as a more fancy look. And since I already have 3, any one of these would be a lovely addition to my collection 🙂 To anyone who wants to know about Mackage, they make an outstanding product that keeps me warm and they look fabulous. A perfect win win for winter.
Yesterday I decided to start my transition into fall since it was officially September and labor day long weekend is the “unofficial end of summer”. I used quotation marks because official or not, I am planning on milking our short summers for all they are worth.
Great outfit right? WRONG! It was 29 degrees Celsius yesterday, and I was melting like a popsicle. As cute as this number was, it was a mistake to start my transition this early. At least I got to wear my BCBG Mabyns – I am so in love with these heals that I never wear them – is that good or bad?
These pictures were obviously taken prior to going outside – hence the smile on my face.
The other day I styled a dress I have from H&M and had my friend, neighbor and fellow blogger Emma photograph me.
Cute right? I bought this lace dress to wear to my stagette, but I have gotten so much use out of it. I added my favorite J Crew Factory necklace, my Michael Kors heals and a gold clutch from HelloFab. This look is perfect for a summer night on the town!
All photographs are from Emma at Burlap and Bangs – check her out!
Sorry party people – I have been a bad blogger lately! And it doesn’t even help that I am posting about an outfit that I wore over two weeks ago already!
Anyways… I found an amazing cashmere sweater at the J Crew Factory store in South Edmonton Common at the beginning of May – too amazing of a deal to pass up – It was regularly $178.00 and I found it in the clearance section priced at $89.99 – which I got 50% off. Yes, I paid $45.00 for a cashmere cardigan. I also decided to bust out my newly arrived wedding shoes to break them in a bit – and I didn’t want to take them off.
Yes, I bought and wore cashmere on some of the hottest days of the year so far – but I don’t care because I looked fabulous!
Hands down my favorite trend for spring 2013 is Neon. By adding a pop of neon to an otherwize boring look, I not only get to participate in my favorite spring trend, but I also add some interest and bring new life to my go-to looks.
Black and white… BORING! But I added my fantastic new Michael Kors bag and the look gets a whole lot better!
I think this bag is the ultimate in spring accessories – I can’t get enough of it! It was very thoughtfully gifted to my by my soon to be trophy husband – what a good man – they know how to keep us girls happy.
